- Freight Train Derails in Central New York
- Two passing freight trains were involved in an early morning derailment Saturday that left 25 cars off the track and the rails closed for at least 24 hours, authorities said. A single car began to derail as the trains passed Little Falls at 5:20 a.m., CSX spokesperson Misty Skipper said. As the car lost its grip on the track, it took other cars from its train off with it.
