UV
PCBs can be removed from water by micro-organisms or Ultra Violet (UV) rays, per the
Railway General Institute and Mitsubishi Industrial company. A normal temperature
and atmospheric pressure can be used, for less cost.
- Put PCB and Alcohol in a Reaction tower (a tank).
- Irradiate with UV rays, which turns the PCB into Chlorine
- Distillate it, then cultivate twice using Micro-organisms (Rhodocossus opacus
TSP203 and Comamonas testosteroni TK102).
- The PCB is then decomposed into water, CO2, Nacl
